I started my woodworking career remodeling houses in Philadelphia. In 1993, I advanced to building the Nakashima Reading Room for the James A. Michener Museum in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Materials used included various types of cedar, elm and a dogwood tree or two from the Nakashima property.
Developed molds for small sections of fiberglass water park flume. Collaborated with the design construction company in Cape May Courthouse, New Jersey and coordinated with all vendors to ensure work was executed as per the plan. Built tooling to manufacture and assemble trestles and water slide.
Two pieces, one recent, one not, that reflect my art school background at the Rochester Institute of Technology: School for American Craftsmen and Philadelphia College of Art: Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design.
